Vittorio Scarpa

Brings his talent to Westchester

Vittorio Scarpa was born on one of the most exotic islands in the world. Sardegna, Italy. It is known for its exquisite beaches and its food all from nature, such as fish from the Mediterranean Sea, roasted pigs, milk and cheese from goats, sheep and cows and homegrown fruits, vegetables and herbs. Everything is fresh, nothing preserved or frozen. The Sardinians are very proud of this and are fast becoming famous for being the longest living humans on earth, so needless to say Scarpa grew up with an exceptional palate. His father was an outstanding cook, and his uncle opened a restaurant in Rome. Vittorio worked there during summer vacations learning the trade.

Scarpa, being very ambitious, decided to move to Rome and started working at famous upscale restaurants like Hostaria DelliOrso and Sabatini. These restaurants were frequented by politicians, celebrities and the European jet set.

Again, Scarpa was on the move, this time to New York City in the early 80’s. He started working immediately and after a year, and as his English improved, he landed a job as a waiter and was quickly promoted to Captain at Parioli Romanissimo, the one and only Italian Restaurant ever to receive 4 stars. This was the place where you would get the best training on how a restaurant should be managed and Scarpa was there for four years.

This restaurant was also frequented by politicians, celebrities and the high society of New York City. Scarpa attended the New York Management Culinary School in New York City and received his diploma.

We are committed to authenticity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Every plate is a In 1990 he was offered the chance to manage his own restaurant in Los Angeles, CA and did not hesitate.
